I’m Just A Flag-Waving American…
…but which flag am I waving?
Old Glory, with its stars and stripes, symbol of an ever-changing society occupying a vast and diverse land.
The Bear Flag of the Republic in which I was born, with its verdant green grass, big brown bear, and star and stripe of vibrant red.
The deep blue and pure white of my graduate school, urging us to shine the light of truth on all we see.
The baby blue of the UN, flying over peacekeepers and developers and aid workers, dedicated to improving life.
Or the rainbow flag that brings it all together.
